Lithuania

What a lovely snowy view arrived from Lithuania! You can see Vilnius Archcathedral - Basilica and Bell Tower. On the hill in the back is situated the only remain of the upper castle in Vilnius. Thanks, Gintare!

Lithuania

I got the lovely multiview from my creative penfriend Dovile. She always surprises me with her way of decorating mail! She sent me a postcard instead of letter this time, representing some of the most attractive places in Lithuania for a tourist - Vilnius (the capital and the largest city of the country), Trakai ( a historic city and lake resort about 30 kilometres west of Vilnius), Nida (a resort town on the Baltic Sea) and Klaipeda (city situated at the mouth of the Danė River where it flows into the Baltic Sea and the third largest city in Lithuania).

Lithuania

Klaipėda is a city in Lithuania situated at the mouth of the Danė River where it flows into the Baltic Sea. It is the third largest city in Lithuania and the capital of Klaipėda CountyKlaipėda's main attractions are the historic buildings in the city's centre, dating from the 13th to 18th centuries. Some of its older buildings have picturesque half-timbered construction, similar to that found in Germany, France, England, Denmark and southern SwedenKlaipėda also host the Klaipėda Sea Festival each year during the month of July. It has been held since 1934. In 2009 the city hosted the Tall Ships Race as part of the festival.According to a city website, about 500,000 people have been present at the event.

Lithuanian Year of the Snake stamp was used, with special mark. Thanks, Greta ;)

Lithuania

I thought it's gonna be easy to collect a written and stamped postcard from each country in Europe, but I was obviously wrong. So far I have collected 31 countries and a card from one more country is coming.
Goda helped me with one of my missing countries, Lithuania. This nice view card from Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania, reached my mailbox few days ago.

Thanks to Goda for helping me with my "European countries" collection. I hope that I will soon add some more cards to my Lithuanian collection.
