Bahamas

What a wonderful view... It reminds me of summer and enjoying on the beach. The weather here in a real disaster these days so this going to the Bahamas for a few days would be just perfect. But I guess that's not possible, so I'll enjoy the card at least :P
Bahamas, officially the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is a country consisting of more than 3,000 islandscays and islets in the Atlantic Ocean. Originally inhabited by the Lucayans, a branch of the Arawakan-speaking Taino people, the Bahamas were the site of Columbus' first landfall in the New World in 1492. Although the Spanish never colonized the Bahamas, they shipped the native Lucayans to slavery in Hispaniola. The islands were mostly deserted from 1513 until 1648, when English colonists from Bermuda settled on the island of Eleuthera.
One of the most prosperous countries in the Caribbean region, The Bahamas relies on tourism to generate most of its economic activity. largest and capital city is Nassau.

Thanks to Niki and her family for this beautiful card. It must be amazing to live on the Bahamas!
