It wouldn't be a decent update if I didn't post a waterfall postcard, so I've chosen one from Mauritius. Rochester Falls is a waterfall on the Savanne River. It is located approximately 2.5 km from Souillac, the southernmost point of the main island. Rochester Falls is famous for the strange rectangular form of its rocky flank The falls tumble from the Savanne River from a height of about 10 m where constant erosion has fashioned the basalt rock into upright columns. Youngsters often perform dare-devil dives into the water below.
