Ara is the one responsible for me having this beautiful card from new country in my collection, Brunei (officially "Brunei Darussalam" or "the Abode of Peace"). Brunei is a constitutional sultanate located on the north coast of Borneo, in Southeast Asia. Apart from its coastline with the South China Sea, it is completely surrounded by the state of Sarawak, Malaysia, and it is separated into two parts by the Sarawak district of Limbang. It is the only sovereign state completely on the island of Borneo, with the remainder of the island belonging to Malaysia and Indonesia. Brunei's population was 401,890 in July 2011 and capital and largest city is Bandar Seri Begawan.
The postcard itself represents Tamu Kianggeh ("tamu" means "market"), situated in the heart of the capital. Tamu Kianggeh offers some of the great varieties of local fruits, vegetables, spices... Ara wrote that you could even find animals like birds, chickens and cats there! Thanks a bunch, Ara!
