A lovely map from Luxembourg I received some weeks ago. Luxembourg is the 20th smallest country in the world, but one of the leading countries of the EU in many fields. Interestingly, Luxembourgish (a dialect of High German) is the mother toungue of nearly all Luxembourgers, but most official bussiness documents are in French while German is the main languagein schools and in the media.
Welcome to my mailbox! I'm Adi, Croatian postcard and stamp collector.I'm trying to explore the beauties of the world through postcards. Here you can find what I've got so far, sorted by countries. Enjoy!

Luxembourg
I was so happy when Anne agreed to send me this card back... And it's only my second from Luxembourg! There are a handful of buildings in Luxembourg used by the European Parliament. The city hosts the Secretariat of the European Parliament (employing over 4000 people), mostly based in the Kirchberg district. The buildings in use are the ones named after Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer and most recently two new tower buildings (TOA and TOB) either side of Av. John F. Kennedy. Thanks a lot, Anne!

Luxembourg
After many failed swaps, I finally menaged to get a written and stamped postcard from Luxembourg thanks to Jean-Marc!
Luxembourg, officially the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is a landlocked country in western Europe, bordered by Belgium, France, and Germany. Luxembourg has a population of 524,853 in an area of 2,586 square kilometres.
As a representative democracy with a constitutional monarch, it is headed by a grand duke and is the world's only remaining grand duchy. Luxembourg is one of the world's most developed countries, with an advanced economy and the world's highest GDP per capita, according to the World Bank.
Three languages are recognised as official in Luxembourg: French, German, and Luxembourgish, a Franconian language of the Moselle region that is also spoken in neighbouring parts of France and Germany. Though Luxembourgish is part of the West Central German group of High German languages, more than 5,000 words in the Luxembourgish have their origin in the French language.
A beautiful stamp on scuba-diving theme...
