Russia :)

My first postcard on the blog :) And it's Russia, a card that I recived few days ago from Tatiana. Thank you Tatiana!
Russsian Federation, also known as Russia, is a country in northern Euroasia.
At 17,075,400 square kilometres, Russia is the largest country in the world, covering more than one eight of Earth's inhabited land area. Russia is also the eighth most populous nation with 143 million people.
Its capital city is Moscow, with around 12 millions people living in it.
Second city by the number of inhabitants is Saint Petersburg. It's located on the Neva river at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic sea.
In 1914 the name of the city was changed to Petrograd, then in 1924 to Leningrad and in 1991 back in Saint Petersburg. Saint Petersburg is also called  "The Venice of the North", "The Northern Capital of Russia" and "The City on 101 Islands".
The card shows the Church oon the Spilled Blood (Church of the Resurrection) from the Teatrany Bridhe.
