Thailand

I just ADORE this postcard  <3 Among many things on my wishlist, I also like postcards showing markets, and this card is a perfect example of the market type card that I like. Moreover, it's also one of the most beautiful postcards that I have and the first one from Thailand in my collection. What more could I ask for?
Thailand, officially the Kingdom of Thailand, also former known as Siam, is a country located at the centre of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. Thailand is a constitutional monarchy headed by King Rama IX. Bangkok is the capital city with population of approximately 1.5 million, while total number of inhabitants is 66 million. As I come from a small county with less than 4.5 million inhabitants, it's hard for me to imagine a country with such a high population. Thailand is also the 20th most-populous county in the world.
Talking about floating markets, most of them operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions. Floating markets can be found in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. Damnoen Saduam Floating Market, shown on the postcard above, is one of the most famously known floating markets, and a major tourist destination. If you someday, somehow, end up there, you will be able to feel the old traditional way of selling vegetables, fruits and other goods. from small boats. I'm sure the felling is unforgettable!

This postcard is great in every single way I can think off at the moment. Beside picking such a beautiful postcard, Nina put effort in choosing stamps and writing a message on the back side of the card, too. Thank you, Nina, a looooot!
