Iceland

I arranged a swap with Loa from Iceland and finally managed to get two more cards from Iceland! First one is an addition to my waterfall collection, a beautiful night view of Skógafoss waterfall with a volcanic eruption in the back. The waterfall is located in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline. Its height is about 60 meters which makes it one of the highest waterfalls of Iceland.
According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The legend continues that locals found the chest years later, but were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared again. The ring was allegedly given to the local church.

Many many thanks go to Loa for the beautiful cards and stamps. She even added small stickers with the coulours of the Icelandic flag!
