I've got a feeling that my missing countries list is endless and that there is no way I'll collect a postcard from every country listed there. Nonetheless, every once in a while a card from a missing country appears in my mailbox that makes me really really happy. I have to thank Ouissal this time for sending me a postcard from Morocco :)
Morocco is a the most westerly of the North African countries with a population of over 35 million and an area of 446,550 square kilometres. The political capital is Rabat, although the largest city is Casablanca. The postcard shows a market in Marrakech (or Marakesh), the fourth largest city of Morocco. In 1985, UNESCO declared the old town area of Marrakesh a UNESCO World Heritage Site, raising international awareness of the cultural heritage of the city.
